New York, USA
Atarah Valentine is from NYC and is committed to redefining rock music for millennials and beyond.
His sound recalls the raw, garage rock of the Velvet Underground merged with commanding vocalists and front men like Freddie Mercury and Mick Jagger.
Quit hatin. These dudes are fun. Raucous party tunes. Sometimes feet shuffling, sometimes a touch of metaltastic. These guys like hard work and ball sweat. If you haven't started moving yet, then you are really really running out of excuses at this point. Save your excuses for when you need them, like the next day when you were supposed to meet this cute girl for coffee at eleven AM, which you make but then have to explain your godawful smell because you met her at bible study and want her to think you are something that you are not.
They have an album. That they recorded. Do that.

A debut EP, called ILD, quickly followed in early 2014 with a follow up EP, Dome, released in 2016.
Firewoodisland has garnered support from BBC Radio Wales, Spotify, BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, WFUV (New York) and BBC Introducing and have twice made the Top 40 on Norway’s Radio 102. Now, based in Bristol, the band are currently working on their debut album - out in 2017.
Friends With Benefits
Despite The Rocketboys’ keyboard player Justin Wiseman’s proclamation that “I can’t really sing", there’s something eminently fitting about the low, half-spoken vocals that float underneath his side-project FRIENDSWITHBENEFITS’ debut EP.
A collection of synth-driven, 80s tinged reflective tracks fill friendswithbenefits – sorrow tinged lyrics counterplaying with bright keyboard melodies, markedly catchy jingles that hum along subtly until you realize they’ve been stuck in your head for days.
BBC's 6 Music's Lauren Laverne calls Luke Sital-Singh "unbelievably good".
Luke Sital-Singh was encouraged to embrace musical instruments from a young age. He cites his influences as Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen, but this takes nothing away from Luke's originality: The Guardian described him as "breathing life into a tired form."
His latest LP 'Time Is A Riddle' was released May 12th 2017.
Mainstays of the Austin, Texas music scene for nearly a decade, anthemic indie rock band The Rocketboys have steadily built a loyal following with the release of two LPs, a handful of EPs, and by performing hundreds of live shows. Their dynamic, expansive songs often outsize the clubs in which they're performed and garnered The New York Times apt description, "... sounds like an amped up Death Cab for Cutie with Coldplay-style melodies.”.
Their latest LP 'Certain Circles' was released May 12th 2017.
Within their first year, Kid Runner has gone from bedroom demos to National TV commercials, and the momentum hasn’t stopped there. Their huge synth hooks, shout along anthems and energetic live show has landed them opportunities to perform with Capital Cities, The 1975, X Ambassadors, The Griswolds and more. With a new EP set to be released this Fall 2014, it’s safe to say that it’s been an amazing start for this up-and-coming Indie/Electronic alternative pop band from Columbus, OH.
It isn't news that the alternative-pop duo Oh Wonder has been taking the world by storm.
But what you might not know is that long before Oh Wonder skyrocketed onto the scene, vocalist Josephine Vander Gucht had a project of her own. While Oh Wonder boasts midtempo earworms, layla offers a much more dynamic palette of emotions and textures.
Jose is mostly focusing on Oh Wonder, but we're hoping for new solo material this year.
Otzeki is two cousins whose mutual appreciation for David Beckham and Ricardo Villalobos led them to make music together.
Already likened to Animal Collective, The xx and Local Natives, it's easy to see why the duo are drawing such esteemed comparisons with subtle but powerful vocals deftly merging with electronic undertones. They are already making a name for themselves with their live sets, having recently supported Real Lies as well as Lust For Youth in London clubs.

The Wealthy West
Brandon Kinder may not be a household name but there’s a good chance you’ve heard his songs or his voice somewhere over the past few years. As frontman for Austin’s anthemic rock group The Rocketboys, as a solo singer under his own name and via his Wealthy West moniker, Kinder’s music has been used in an enormous array of TV shows, indie movies and commercials.
There is an honesty to his music. There are no wasted lyrics to fill space. Where the Wealthy West is clear on his road there’s a sense of joy. Where he’s confused or foundering, there’s a feeling of hope and experience to get through it all.
